Stretching around the Wash the Fens are an area of rich farm land, there were drained nearly 1000 years ago and now an area of rich wildlife and amazing good views and walks.
Boston is a historic market town in the middle of the Lincolnshire fens. The church is largest parish church in England, and is know locally as the Boston Stump. Also in Boston is the Maud Foster windmill is the tallest working windmill in the UK.
In the 17th century some of the Pilgrim Fathers boarded the May Flower at Boston and emigrants from the town later founded Boston, Massachusetts in the USA.
