The cottage  is located in a quite rural setting three miles east of Spilsby. The property is conveniently situated for exploring the Coast, Fens and Wolds of Lincolnshire.

 

It is an ideal location for walks, cycling, house riding, bird watching and fishing. There are activities to suite all ages and abilities.

The cottage is on the edge of the small and quiet village of Great Steeping. The village was home to RAF Spilsby during the Second World War parts of which can still be seen nearby.

 

The nearest town is Spilsby, which is three miles from the village. It was granted its market charted in 1301 and still hosts a bustling market each Monday. The town’s most famous son was Sir John Franklin, the Arctic exploder who discovered the north West Passage. A fine bronze statue of him now dominates the west market place.

The cottage is near to the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has rolling hills and many picturesque villages and historic market towns.
